Meet Dr. Edwin Stanley
Dr. Stanley was born near Chicago, IL. His parents moved to India when he was young. Following the completion of his medical schooling in India Dr. Stanley returned to the United States for further training.
The ability to treat, heal, and relieve suffering using minimally invasive catheter and needle based techniques drew him to Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Stanley completed his Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI. He loved his time in Wisconsin and was drawn to the people and culture of Wisconsin.
Following the completion of his fellowship Dr. Stanley was offered a position as an Interventional Radiologist at St.Lukes University Health Network in Bethlehem PA, a Truven Top 50 healthcare provider serving eastern Pennsylvania. The network includes 7 hospitals and a medical school. Dr. Stanley was excited to take up the position as he felt convinced that the job would challenge him professionally and be an experience of a lifetime.
True to his expectations as an attending Interventional Radiologist he was actively involved in trauma care, endovascular treatment of arterial and venous diseases and offering minimally invasive therapies to cancer patients. His role also included teaching residents and medical students of St.Lukes School of Medicine. He was awarded the St Lukes Heroes award for trauma care in 2015.
As much as he enjoyed working in Pennsylvania, both Dr.Stanley and his wife always wanted to move back to Wisconsin in Gods planned time. Their prayers were answered, in 2017 Dr.Stanley joined Radiology Associates of Wausau.
He is now offering both Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology services to patients of central WI.
